I appreciate that is is A LOT of hard work but personally I prefer unique descriptions for everything, to me it shows the dev cares more about their game than placing generic comments for background stuff. But do not mind if smaller dev houses to this because of the amount of work involved. Which was why I was so amazed with Al Emmo!

I definetly would like to see an Al Emmo 2 but would also love to see a time travel SCI-FI story from Himalaya.

QuoteGraphics: 6.0
The 3D scenes look very nice. They're like the fancy cutscenes in an old NES game - before the actual game resumes and you're brought back to reality with the "lesser" look. But, this is a game of exploration and simple but colorful characters. They look more than nice enough for a good experience.

LoL!! I think if the NES could of handled 3D cutscenes like the intro in Al Emmo then Nintendo would have sold several million more units back in the 80s!!!

The reviewer completely misses the point of the "graphics" here which is the beautiful background scenery!!

It would be an idea to create an episodic series of Al Emmo (or new IP), allowing more flexible working times, less work and more forgiving deadlines whilst still feeding the fans Al Emmo goodness instead of working non-stop for another 3 years on Al Emmo 2.

Could be worthwhile looking into (if you havnt already.)

Yea, depending on the speed of your machine the installation can appear to freeze for quite some time. As long as the CD is still spinning in the drive the installation is still on track, just wait awhile

September 14, 2006, 03:52:04 PM
The Al Emmo trailer is out at FileFront but I uploaded it to YouTube so give it 5 mins then just search for "Al Emmo" on YouTube to watch the trailer, hopefully this way millions could see it!!

If its not okay to upload the video just let me know and I'll remove it! :)

EDIT: Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0uDrXRhn-c

I've just tried to install my copy, I click Install and it says Loading Please Wait.. and the CD just spins for ages and nothing happens.

I havnt got time to sit and wait at the moment so it'll probably work after a few minutes but what is the install doing? Extracting the whole setup file to a temp directory or something? It shouldnt take this long.

Ah the installer has just popped up now lol, but what takes so long?

Shipping to the US is now only $7.95 and shipping outside the US is $14.95  ;)

EDIT: Not too sure about shipping for the soundtrack CD by itself but I would assume its the same. Maybe you can save $ by ordering the game and soundtrack at the same time and getting them shipped together? (Or just go for the LE which includes the soundtrack!!)

Quote from: "Tom Lewandowski"Unless I missed it, I didn't see anything about a DATE when the game is being released.  If I'm going to pre-order something, I want to know WHEN my order is to be fulfilled.

I think alot of people trust Himalaya and know that the release date will be soon, and I just plain wanna be one of the first 100 to get the extra stuff!

I think, if you ordered the special edition then you'll get it, and if you ordered the standard edition the first 100 will get the goodies.

Good job I already have Brit's autograph lol!
