STOP 0x8e (KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED) is a fairly common STOP error (that is, it's one of those occuring more often than others). In this case, it refers to a memory access violation.

Did you see a filename listed along with the error? These kind of errors  usually indicate that a driver is faulty, and the filename can be used to tell which driver it is.

As far as the monitor is concerned, if you have any controls on the monitor to alter how the sceren displays things, you might need to move the image using those controls. It's a common sight when a monitor has not used a particular video mode before.

An alternative is to play in windowed mode, of course.

You might be able to use those Al Lowe has on his website instead: http://www.allowe.com/gamedesign/index.htm

There are design documents for a total of 5 adventure games there (and one which isn't an adventure game), so you should be off to a good start with those.

I never said it was a very big problem, just that it was the biggest. There's a difference :)

PW2 and 3 are indeed already done, albeit for GBA, and it did surprise me a bit to hear it would take so long for PW2 to come out. Then again, they will have to change at least one puzzle (and graphics) in case 1,
since it is based on two different ways to spell the name "Suzuki" in Kanji
, so I guess that WOULD take a little while.

Quote from: "fov"Phoenix Wright is a great adventure game for the DS, if you can find it.  A sequel is coming out in January.

OBJECTION!

...the real release date of the sequel isn't known yet, as both Nintendo and Capcom have issued conflicting information - Nintendo says October '06, while Capcom says Q1 '07.

That being said, it really is very addicting. I could hardly put it down when I got it.

Another Code really is a good and interesting game (or rather, tech-demo-disguised-as-a-game), the main problem is that it's a bit short - it doesn't take more than 4-5 hours to complete even if you don't know the solution.

Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable experience while it lasts, and it has some very interesting puzzles which take advantage of all the features of the machine.
