General Forum / Re: Forum is infected with malware
February 24, 2019, 11:22:58 AM
Same. I don't have any issues with the forums.

Despite our best efforts, spam bots do sneak in from time to time and post ads and links to things like that. Those are promptly deleted and the accounts banned.

Just because someone posts links to things like that does not mean the forums themselves have been infected.

WriteOh (Wookie) has his hands pretty full with Mages right now. I doubt he's going to volunteer any time to other projects.

Granted. Welcome aboard!

Everyone who has requested now has access. I did another four this morning.

I apologize for the delay. I'm currently traveling on business and don't have regular access to get my computer on the Internet.

You can also check out Broomie's facebook page he created for adventure games in Kickstarter

I've reworded the question to "What color is freshly fallen snow?" to avoid the issues mentioned above.

On the plus side, you now have five posts, which means you won't have to deal with it anymore!

As a reward for being a Mage's Initiation backer, you have access to a Backers Only forum where you can discuss the game (or anything else, really) directly with the game's developers and other backers.

To get access to this forum, first register a forum account. Once you get logged in, shoot me a Private Message stating you'd like access. I will verify the email address you used to register your forum account with a list of emails I was provided of eligible backers (both through Kickstarter and PayPal). Once verified, I'll grant you access and you'll be able to see the forum as well as get a special Mage's Backer badge.

If you registered your forum account with a different email address than you used to pledge, no worries. Just include the email you pledged with in the body of your private message and I'll take it from there.

If you missed out on the Kickstarter campaign, but would still like to make a pledge, we are still taking new backers via PayPal. Just go to our PayPal page and select the tier you want. All tiers come with forum access, but you may want to pledge at a higher tier to get some of the awesome swag we are offering! :)

Our PayPal page can be found at http://www.himalayastudios.com/games/mages/#pay-pal
If you are viewing this on a smart phone, you can jump directly to the Mobile PayPal page here: http://www.himalayastudios.com/games/mages/paypal_m.html

We hope to see you in the private forum soon!

I changed the question from Roman alphabet to English alphabet. Hopefully that will be less confusing to people.

Its a minor frustration to prevent spam bots from overtaking the forums (which is a major frustration).

As Anaxphone said, the spam prevention question will disappear after you've posted five times.

Hah! I reread that and didn't remember it. When he mentioned combining the T-shirt, pineapple, cheese, and cherries, I thought "Wow! Sounds like an adventure game!"

Then I saw the next post was mine and I'd said pretty much the same thing years ago. I guess I haven't changed all that much. :)

Holy Cow! That sounds like someone's inventory in an incredibly interesting adventure game!

Quote from: "TribeHasSpoken"Unfortunately, if I were to create a studio and name it after what I would be brave enough to climb, it would have an aesthetically unsatisfying name like "Chair Studios" or "Very Small Ladder Entertainment".
Just wait... some up and coming developer is going to use one of those names.  :hehe:

Yeah... if you move directories, your existing shortcuts won't work. You should still be able to run the game manually though by going into the directory and double clicking the executable.

Hope you enjoy the game!

Good information. Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure that I ever tried installing it to anything other than my C drive...

AGS itself shouldn't care what drive it's on though. If you want to play it from your G drive, you might try copying the game folder there, now that it's installed. All files required to run the game are in that directory, so you shouldn't need to do anything other than move the directory. I'm kind of curious if that will work or if the errors will return...

Your monitor/video driver may be having a problem running the game at 640x400. You might try going into the setting menu and changing some of the graphics settings before running the game. I'd try checking the "Force alternate letterbox resolution" and try running the game.

Does your laptop support 640x400 resolution? If this is the problem you might be able to get it to run by changing the resolution settings in the setup program.

Oops... hey Jwar. I totally missed this post. To get answers to questions regarding the store. It's easier to email us at mailto:shop@himalayastudios.com">shop@himalayastudios.com .

Processing technically means that your payment was received and that we are in the process of putting your order together and shipping it. I was a bit backed up for a while, so I didn't get a chance to update the status on most of the orders. They were all processed and shipped within two days of receipt (unless you ordered on a Friday, then it wouldn't be Monday until they got shipped).

I've managed to get all the orders updated though, so your order should be marked as "Shipped". Keep in mind that it will have the time stamp of when I updated it, and not of when it was actually shipped.

Sorry for missing this, and sorry for the confusion.
