We haven't put the patch on GOG or Humble just yet. It's only on Steam at the moment while we test it out and make sure that it's all stable. The reason behind this is because it takes quite a while to handle all the ports (Windows, Mac, Linux) for all the different platforms (Steam, GOG Humble), so we want to make sure that everything is stable and working properly before we roll everything out publically.

That said, we're aiming to push the new patch out to all platforms by the end of this week. So stay tuned!

KQ 1-3 remakes were great, I prefer them to the originals and can offer no higher praise. You guys have skill and talent, don't try to get trendy or political, and just make it about the game.

You can add content loads of content, like in kq2 and keep with the original spirit of the game perfectly.

I am a fan of the Father character and the Legenimor sub story, I had hoped you would complete it some way actually.

All This shows good taste and common sense. You have titles that will stand. Mages initiation is good too, like quest for glory but innovative enough and keeping with its spirit.

Graphically I would have liked darcs eye color to change to the color of his element. Like they were colored in the final art where he completed his initiation on my first play through ''air mage''.  ''Working on fire mage''. "red in that case, shades of a good voldemort without the snakey stuff?...or with if you consider the sepent spell, ''Voldemort used the fiery serpent in his battle against Dumbledore but then there was also something similar used by swan in ''Lord of illusion''.

I was air first time, but to be true I would be goat fish, or earth/water. I associate air not with absent mindless but magicians of this sort. Also in quest for glory:

Aziza: What is the element most appropriate to a magic shop owner? Answer: air ''Keapon''.

In the feminine: She was a queen of air and darkness. ''suppose shadow here''.  Aziza was the water mage. She was almost pure logic though.

Making water the hero's just means they are Astral, water/sea is a metaphor for the astral. Or get Cuthulu mythos and we have similar creatures we saw at the priestess place and the woods. Easily defeated, A bit fishy if you ask me. hahaha.

Sea can also mean space in some visionary fiction but that dose not apply here.

As of yesterday I know galaxy did not put it in because still getting overcharged for mana potions, and card game is only 0.5% winnable, or something like that. I loved the game, on my second playthrough.

BTW on air, I set the priestess free the first time, though I knew she would not reward darc, considering the way intitates messed with her, that she let him live same as he let her, shows decency. Darc should grow up and marry her or something.

Trying for perfect score.

This crash only happens when playing with voices disabled (i.e. the Speech slider is set all the way to the left). There are a couple of solutions:

1) Turn the speed slider up a small amount in order to get past the scene. (You can disable voices again afterwards, if you want).

2) If playing on Steam, you can update to the v1.0b patch on the "Beta" branch (instructions on how to do so are on the Community hub discussion forum here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/270610/discussions/0/1777136225045720120/

This patch will be rolled out onto the main Steam branch, as well as to GOG, and Humble once it has been verified as stable. But that might take another week or so.

Has anyone encountered this? I can't continue with the game.

I am in the manor and just got rid of Pug. The game brought me into screenplay where Fend held up a dagger to D'arc's neck, then an error message popped out, asking me to contact the game developer. Error message below:

Adventure Game Studio

Yes, you are right, and I didn't say killing monsters weren't in the games in the past. I meant in an era where FPS and RPG are the preferred games of the masses, it is kinda expected from games.

That would be a curious perspective, if Mages had any political power in this game. Which they don't, it seems. At least, not overtly. They just keep to themselves. The only two areas of life where they have any influence, it seems, is technological progress and training of other mages.

Well, power is not necessarily about ruling people.

As mentioned, I think the Elements are morally neutral...

I tend to agree. I believe the Elements influence a mage's character in subtle ways, but it's the mage who makes moral choices. For example, Fire encourages boldness, aggression and decisiveness, but it's the mage who chooses whether to turn these traits towards combating evil and trailblazing (both literal and figurative) or towards inflicting suffering and dominating the weak.

I think each Element has its merits and flaws. We tend to view Fire as "evil" only because, in modern times, we tend to forget that aggression and competitiveness can be used in constructive ways (and have been throughout the history). Even Water, which seems to be all about compassion and helping others, has flaws. For example,
Shareen covering for Brashem despite him being a danger to others. Okay, maybe Brashem is not a bad guy; but one can easily imagine a situation where he could take advantage of her because she's not only in love with him, but is also an inherently soft and caring person due to her connection to Water.
I have a strong suspicion that 'giftless' are actually NOT 'not chosen' by the elements. I think it is a lie maintained by the mage castes to keep power away from the obvious majority.

That would be a curious perspective, if Mages had any political power in this game. Which they don't, it seems. At least, not overtly. They just keep to themselves. The only two areas of life where they have any influence, it seems, is technological progress and training of other mages.

Of course, we will have to wait and see. Maybe only Iginor Tower is so neutral. Maybe mages in Dominatra are all about power and political games.
