Game enjoyment

First: The game was very enjoyable. The puzzles involved
were definately unique, but, not too hard to solve.
Second: The music was fantastic. Being an amateur pianist
I loved all the piano music.
I really enjoyed how things in the game built on one another.
For instance getting the flag.
The voices fit their charachters to a T. I think all the voices
in it were great. They all remind you of characters you are familiar with.
The mayor had a voice like Andy Devine. Kevin was definately excellent.
Bill the piano man is like a combination. Part of that combination of course
is Billy Joel. The sherrif reminded me of Edgar Buchannan who played
Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction.
The only thing I didn't like about the game was having to do the drag
queen thing. I didn't like the drag queen either. That's my only criticism
of the game.
I would like to see a sequel or even a series of games with
this character. Please make more, but leave out the drag queen stuff.
As annoying as the narrator was it still fit.
I think the Indian Casino was fantastic. I one the jackpot
several times. I was a little disappointed Al cound't keep the money, but
I guess I can see where that would not fit in with the idea of selfless wealth.
Great Game-make a lot more please.

Thanks for your feedback, Vernon!  I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed so much about "Al Emmo".  Wow, so you won the jackpot not once, but numerous times--that's great!

So, you make music? Do you have any music recorded that you could share with forum visitors?  What type of pieces do you enjoy playing most?

Thanks again for posting your thoughtful feedback regarding the game.

I don't get over here all that often these days, But I wanted to thank the writer for his comments about our music.  It was a tremendous pleasure working on this game and trying to think up that "just right" mood for each scene without being redundant.  One of the great things is that Tom and I each bring different styles to our compositions, and when we meld them it further creates different nuances.

Again, thanks for your very kind words!

I don't know, I tried the demo and while I heard that the game gets good later on I had a really hard time forcing myself through the bad writing, slow gameplay and visual inconsistencies. Of course, I'm not posting to put anyone down. The game looked like it had a lot of potential despite the negative aspects, but if I bought it it would only be to support a capable team with a line of good games behind them, not because I enjoyed Al Emmo.

But yeah it had upsides too, such as the in-game aesthetics and also the music which was pretty great. Keep making games.
Hello.

As good as the music was throughout the game, Dianne (and Tom, of course), Act Nine was in a class of its own. The feeling I got was that the music of the first eight acts was required to adhere to certain "Wild West" conventions in addition to the mood of the scene, while the change of scenery for Act Nine allowed you to be as creative as you wanted and only worry about the right mood.

As I said, it's all excellent, but act nine is more so :D.

Hi, everyone :D!
The characters are a hoot too!  I will never forget them ^_^!

Also, there was a point in the game when I was "stuck", and it was still even enjoyable just wandering around trying to figure out what to do next.
Once again, thanks to the Himalaya team for the game!  You guys rock!!!
